+ CELEBRATE!

Dropping by to tell you all about one of my new favorite ways to make a celebration more personal.  I picked up this fun Rifle Paper Co. garland recently and have found it beyond easy to make a special moment more personal.

It comes with 80 tiles & string- which is plenty to spell out just about anything.  And, it's reusable.  Here it is recently up in our guest room-  ready to welcome our newly engaged friends:

+ A NEW RETURN ADDRESS

Now that we are settled in our current digs, I've been searching for the perfect address stamp with my new last name & our new address.  I'd love for it to be nautical keeping with the theme of our town/neighborhood. 

First up, is the pelican stamp.  It reminds me of Bodega Bay where we got hitched & it still works in Marin County/Tiburon: 

adore this stamp by local gal over at pretty chic sf (also this print is calling my name for our future gallery wall- I have yet to hang art/photos in our house...)

Lastly, although I've always been a huge fan of the stamps (they are quick, easy & last forever in my experience) I'm also entertaining the idea of an embosser.  Does anyone have one?  Do you like it?

+ A SMALL SPACE TO YOURSELF

I came across this image recently and thought how peaceful it looked.  A small space to enjoy a cup of coffee, get a blog post up, and perhaps write a letter to a friend.  Although it looks serene, you can see this is the hub of the house.  Above the small desk there is a calendar, cubbies for paperwork, etc.  

It's amazing how keeping a space free of clutter (and organized) allows it to be functional, yet stylish and inviting.

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for sharing in the excitement of our move!  We are thrilled.  Except for the packing part.  That part is never too thrilling :)

Happy New Year!  Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend.  I thought I'd start the New Year off with a bunch of free printable calendars to get you organized.  I just printed out the polka dot calendar by The Twinery.  Love it!

+ 2013 DESKTOP CALENDARS

This is about the time when I like to start looking at 2013 calendars...to start, I thought I'd cover desktop calendars.  These are great for people who work in an environment where they have a desk, but no walls of their own to post a calendar (fabulous stocking stuffer!).  Although we all typically rely on a digital calendar to keep us organized, I still love to be able to see a paper version in front of me.  Call me ole' fashioned.  Here are some of my favorites...

first up, this dear hancock desk illustrations. very into the whimsical scenes of different desks:

this one is woodsy with a modern touch: 

 I've always be a fan of pixelimpress products- love the bright colors, pattern and elephants on this one!

+ ORGANIZING WITH THIN BINDERS

Came across this image in my MSL this month and loved these tiny white binders all lined up in a row.  The binders are presentation binders that include plastic sleeves + color-coded labels.

I've used my skinny binders in the past for storing cards by month- and then a subcategory by birthdays/holidays.  Each sleeve/page is a month, and on that page I add a note with everyone's birthdays or holidays listed and possible card options for either their special day or that upcoming holiday.  

Another way I've used them is for takeout menus- that way I can circle/star dishes we liked, or cross out the ones we disliked to ensure we don't order them again.

I don't know about you, but I have a lot of items to check off my to do list this week.  I would love to start checking them off  in a space like...

deliciously organized 2011 recap!

Hope you all had a fabulous Holiday weekend!  Since we are quickly approaching 2012, I thought I might put together a little recap of 2011 here on Deliciously Organized...

In January, we moved back from Boston to San Francisco into our new home and was part of The Nest:

and organized lipstick: 

In February the floral bench got a makeover for the new apartment with a vintage fabric found in the remnant section of Britex.

and we made a trip to the beach...

the bedroom started to come together, but still needs a lot of work....

In March, I attended a bridal tour in wine country...

made cupcakes and added very easy to make round labels...

and then made a big batch of rainbow juice...

In April, I made gluten free, sugar free, & vegan mini banana muffins that were surprisingly delicious! 

made an earth day green smoothie...

& some more green juice...

and lastly, a spring salad:

In May, I saved a stained cream blouse with dye:

AND, we booked the garden we are getting married in!  very exciting for us!

In June, I had a wonderful trip to the farmers market...

framed and hung the gifted Boston poster: 

right before taking off to Lanai for vacay...

&  received some beautiful birthday peonies...

In July, was excited to use new stationery...

and tried making my first floral frog:

made one of my favorite scrubs to date:

lastly, organized the tiny linen closet:

In August, we made lavender & lemon cookies:

& my little sister came to visit and we made a trip up to Stinson Beach:

In September, we had pretty flowers in the house:

took a trip up to Tahoe...

took a walk in our city during one very hot day:

In October, I made cinnamon oil:

and then used it to make lip scrub: note on the lip scrub-add less sugar and more oil than listed in recipe:

decorated the pumpkin:

and made a favorite go-to meal:

In November, I tried to slow down and incorporate greens back into my diet:

made an afternoon snack:

another smoothie: 

went to Napa:

In December, glitter covered the apartment while making DIY ornaments: 

made mini gingerbread doughnuts: 

the tree went up:

and lastly, we celebrated 6 years last week! {picture from last year}

Thank you all for being here with me in 2011! I am very blessed to have such amazing readers! I said this last year, and I'll say it again, it would not be the same without you all!

Can't wait to see what 2012 brings!
