closet inspiration take II

 I'm hoping these images get me back on track with my closet...

{maximizing space by adding shelving above a door gives you more room for accessories}

I think we've all seen this one a few times...but I still not only love the entire room, but everything in it

{Jenna Lyons}

and love this idea of cork on a closet wall...

Can you imagine the outfit inspiration getting ready in this closet?

{domino via la dolce vita}

Not a closet, but there are still heels and shoe boxes tucked away in shelves...

I'm getting a bit closer to getting started now...

  1. Just made-over my own closet! Love it so much more now.

    Also, I'd never seen the Jenna Lyons room with the two chests in the middle of the room, only with the settee. Let's be honest... she probably has about 8 more of those clothes racks that are just not pictured. At least.

    Good luck!

  3. Good luck on your closet! I was floored by Alaina's post on her own dressing room! It makes me aware of my desperate need for a more adequate closet :( I'm obsessing over her space and just my have to post on it! I'm sure yours will be fab!!

  4. Holy Smokes Alaina! That is gnarly! You have a freakin dressing room in your house! Chic Geek, I do not have anything like this coming up. I have a tiny little closet that I need to purge clothes from and maybe add a board. Nothing like that! It's unreal.

  14. My Real Simple came yesterday, made me think of you. It's about organizing according to your personality type. You should do a post on that...we're not all as type A as some of you:)

  15. I love these and certainly would take any one of them. However, I know at this phase in my life--and because I share a closet with my husband--it just ain't gonna happen :)

  16. Wonderful inspiration! The cork is a fantastic idea, and I can never get enough of Jenna Lyon's closet - it is my dream. Couldn't help but do a bit of window shopping as I was looking at each of your images. I'll take that, and that and that and . . .
    I hope your week is going well and good luck on getting started on your closet organizing! =)

  18. Oh boy!! That first pic is amazing. I love shelving over and around doors.... have been hankering after some library shelves like that since I can remember, but what a fab idea for the closet too!

  19. I love closets ---- and I've had some great ones. I really want to improve the one I have as one of the previous owners did a good job organizing the space - yet none of the shelves are movable. Not so good for the larger purses. But, I'm always happy to see inspiration ---- I'll come back and revisit these images, I'm sure!!
