a little bit of life lately...

The past couple of weeks via my poor little iphone that is barely hanging on...kinda a long post:

headed up to Tahoe President's Day weekend for a friends birthday:

and did a little skiing for my first time!  gave up snowboarding, i put in a lot of effort and never got good at it.  i'm just not a boarder, i guess i'm more of a skier...

a shot of Heavenly's bunny hill that I practiced on:

on our way out of Tahoe we stopped at a family tradition spot, the Red Hut:

flowers from during the week:

pinwheels from the GAP + Rue event that I attended via Enjoy Events Co.

Friday we headed out to a crab feed all dressed up & had to take a bus, sometimes in the city you just can't find a cab:

at least we made it to the feed:

and then we decided we should start taking care of ourselves for our upcoming wedding and made a big batch of juice (beets, carrots, kale and orange)

then...took the compost from the juice and fed the lavender plant and felt very proud of ourselves for being so green.

opened up the windows for some fresh air (the city was beautiful this weekend)

we went for a "run" to hoppers hands meaning Chris ran and I bladed behind him (ever since I ruined my IT band I am not a fan of running, so I take one for the team and blade around, I am really into it, feel free to laugh)

then, because I felt I got a work out in, I figured it was fine to hit up Susie Cakes after Blue Barn:

if they're mini, they don't really count...right?

hope you had a great weekend!

we are off to Park City this week to celebrate a good friend's birthday...
but I might get a few more post up this week!

  3. What fun! When my teen was younger, he'd bike and I'd run. Now he either runs or blades with me. That pile of crab legs look so good! What type of a juicer do you use? That sounds like such an energizing blend. Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I'd love it if you linked up at the impromptu phone pic linky that I put up the other day.

  7. Sounds a lot like my weekend! Do you live in the Marina too?

Question, did you find skiing easier than snowboarding? I had never skied or boarded until last February when I took two snowboarding lessons (one at Heavenly and one at Kirkwood.) I feel like I might actually be better at skiing if I tried it...
