First of all, I'm thrilled with the responses on the cleanse! I will be sporadically posting tips and recipes for those that are joining. For now, here are a few photographs from this past weekend at the sowa market. Stephanie & I made the trip before heading out to pick our berries. It was very hard to contain myself.
I never tire of perfectly stacked suitcases...ever:
and I was t-h-i-s close to taking this umbrella stand home with me:
I feel like 9 by design would swoop this up...
LOVE this. Not sure where I would put it, but I would find a place for it...
and this is what came home with me! it was love at first sight...I saw it from a mile away.
We're not really booze hounds, but I'm still excited to style it!
I'm not sure where I'll put it...And thankfully my fiancé wasn't upset that I brought one more thing into our shoe box of an apartment. What are your thoughts on styling? Booze first? Antique glasses? A Decanter?
LOVE it! What a great find. I would start with the glasses and decanter. That's probably the most fun part to style :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! You definitely need an antique decanter and bar glasses first :)
ReplyDeleteOh it is perfect! I would say go for the glasses and decanter first... you can always add booze later :)
ReplyDeletewhat a fantastic find, I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteThe cart looks great and I wish I could get my hands on those storage cabinets!! Janell
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty find- I say style it with booze booze and more booze then invite me over :)
ReplyDeleteLove! That cart is so fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! What a great find! Totally start with the decanter and glasses, then put them to good use. :)
ReplyDeleteI am planning a robbery:)
ReplyDeleteand why didn't I see that boot? AND do you think we could have fit that boat in the Prius? I think it would look good in my new office:)
ReplyDeleteawesome find!
ReplyDeletejust stumbled upon your blog and i have to say i LOVE it. do come drop by mine too and maybe we can follow each other. =)
have a lovely day!

GREAT bar cart! If it were me, I'd totally be stuck decorating with booze first, because I think my husband is convinced a bottle of Crown is actually a work of art. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect, such a lucky find! I don't know if you saw this a while back but it might have some inspiration, I noted it down myself because I'd love a bar cart.

I would start with glassware focused round interesting bottles like Hendricks gin or Bombay Sapphire, or something better you'll probably see?
The cart is gorgeous! And yes, I'd start with the glasses and decanter as well, then add just a few nice-looking bottles. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! I really must get over to the SOWA market. I can't believe I haven't been yet, given that I lived so close for two years (and still live close enough!).
ReplyDeleteLOVE this. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteThat $100 bottle of Patron and 4 cute shot glasses would look cute!
ReplyDeleteOoh, lovely! Are you going to leave the top of the cart as is? Love the black and white floral design. Of course, I'd probably mess with it and think of what I could do with paint. I just can't seem to leave things as-is! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I too love stacked suitcases. I want to find some to use as a side table in our guest room/travel room.
So very jealous! Put a big wonderful container of flowers would be my first instinct! and then some fun glasses for the booze!
ReplyDeleteWhat a find! I love it.. oh the styling you will do.. make sure you show us! xx
ReplyDeleteI looove SOWA open market! I saw so much a few weeks ago when I went - great find!! :)
ReplyDeleteAll of the above! That is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I was immediately picturing a beautiful crystal decanter and glasses.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! Super find Carlee. I say go with old antique glasses. I've been looking for some specifically and have my eyes open. Trying to figure out Twitter. Help!
ReplyDeleteToo fabulous. I've been looking for something similar, actually. You know, since my fiancee and I are, in fact, booze hounds. Ha. I would definitely get some vintage decanters to fill with dark liquor and set on top!

Great buy! Love it.
ReplyDeleteOH I would love to take home that tool chest. LOVE it. Your bar cart is a great find. I think it would be fun in a bedroom with towels and pefumes. Is that crazy that that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw it's cool lines and double handles??
ReplyDeleteI was just reading a blog recently, I think Moth Design, and she used a bar cart in the bathroom for storage. You know like purfumes etc on top, towels on the bottom. Just an idea to pass on. Cute cart!
ReplyDeletetoo cute!!
ReplyDeleteincase you didn't get the chance to see -- i blogged about y'all yesterday!!
Loving your bar cart...funny that it appears as the next post after the Summer Cleanse! :)
ReplyDeleteOh...those suitcases are sooo cool. Love the bar cart -- many fun nights ahead for you and your friends --- after a couple of cocktails, no one will notice anything but your superior hostess skills!!
ReplyDeletewhat a find! do share once you've finished styling :)
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness...I just bought this EXACT same bar cart at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market a few months ago, you can see it here: http://www.paisleypetunia.com/blog/2010/03/coming-up-roses/
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun coincidence. I love it...I put alcohol on the bottom and on the top some antique drink shakers and fun vases for alcohol.
Hope you enjoy yours :)
Wow, what a great find! I love antique markets, and finding completely original pieces xx
ReplyDeleteAH! Love the cart! Unfortunately I don't have any styling ideas but I will be reading your comments because I have a vintage bar cart on the way!
ReplyDeleteI am envious. I would love a vintage bar cart even though I am more of a beer and wine girl. Definitely glasses and a decanter or two. Also a few vintage containers for cocktail fixings and an ice bucket!
ReplyDeleteI am curious about how much it cost since I can't seem to find anything like this for a good price. Would you mind sharing?
