My magazine piles are beginning to take over our house. I seriously need to get a grip. I'm adding it to my to do list for after files, along with that closet...
How about you? Are yours neatly tucked away in file folders? Or are you letting them all stack up like me?
Stacked up - along with my DVDs, books, notebooks... It's definitely time I got it sorted!
ReplyDeleteSadly stacked against the wall in my office! and under my bed!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a few stacks to go through and I pass on to a local spot...I love doing that....and purging of piles!
ReplyDeletepve
i let them stack- i have a problem throwing them away. its more of a sickness actually :)
ReplyDeleteoh i'm right there with you except I haven't even been able to read them recently! Although I do like this organized chaos picture that you posted!
ReplyDeleteI try to go through my magazines as soon as I get them. I rip out the ideas I love the most and recycle the rest of the mag. Unless the entire magazine is worth keeping.
ReplyDeleteI've made a conscious effort this year to read my magazines, remove and file any articles that I want to keep then either recycle or give the magazines to a friend who works at a hospital. She and her co-workers appreciate having new magazines in the staff lounge.
ReplyDeletei love having my magazines around for random inpiration, and yes they are sadly stacked all around the house...i can't decide what to do with them
ReplyDeletestacked, but under a lucite coffee table to give it some weight!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this photo!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comments on my home.... I truly appreciate it :)
xoxo Laura
My bedside table practically sags at the moment from the weight of them; I've got to get mine under control too but there is something about having them at arms length right before dozing that is so comfy! Lot this pic btw
ReplyDeleteI just threw out a bunch today! It was hard, but so worth it!
ReplyDeleteStacks of books and magazines are seemingly everywhere in my office, bedroom and living room. While I do have the majority of my magazines organized in metal file folders, there are never enough of these for all of the magazines. Oh well, I'm just glad I have so many resources for inspiration. =)
ReplyDeleteI have a pretty good stack of 2 months worth on the shelf under my giant coffee table, but after 2 months I toss all except my Martha Stewarts, which go in magazine boxes labeled by season. I go back to them year after year for seasonal ideas.
ReplyDeleteYou've hit it right on the money for me, I seriously have a problem with magazines. I have been pretty good and keeping a binder with ripped out pages in order to keep some of it organized but I still have tons. I have managed to keep in under control when I moved a couple years back, I had magazines everywhere, all my friends made fun of me. But hey, it's my thing. I do keep the best, I have all my Domino and Living Etc, as well as Elle Decor UK, Elle Decor and Met Home... I can't part with them. They are throughout my apartment in bookshelves, magazine holders and nicely styled.
ReplyDeletedefinitely not tucked away in file folders and definitely stacked everywhere, even all the over the coffee table at the moment . . .
ReplyDeletehoping it will look like this one day:

There are some magazines that I keep intact - Country Living, Coastal Living. But others, I rip out articles or tidbits that interest me then sort them by category in a divided portfolio thingey I purchased at Target.
ReplyDeletethis lamp is fantastic! where did you get it?
