no twinkle lights, no garden.

Last night was the Spring Gala event.  It was nothing like I discussed here, but I wasn't really expecting it to be.  We still had an absolute blast.  We took a few photographs before we left...

The dorky picture below is the only shot I have to show you my orthopedic looking shoes. That's what my boyfriend called them.  Just the look I was going for...

The pics from the event are not that exciting, although I'm not saying these are.

And thank you to the nice stranger who allowed us to have one non self pic {we typically take ourselves} in front of our little place.

uniforms.

I loved Paula's post from two ellie on her uniform a while back, I'm 100% with her on this.  I find myself running to classes day after day in the same outfit.  A wrap, a tank, skinnies and flats.  This outfit is easy and comfortable, and one less thing I have to think about, basically, my uniform.  Do you have a uniform?

I'm happy to say that one of the essentials of my uniform are on sale here {also seen above}. Makes for a good friday morning... If skinnies are a part of your uniform, these are fabulous {wash well & have a nice stretch}.  Everything on their site is an extra 30% off!

Happy Weekend!

Spring Gala

This weekend I'm attending a Spring Gala event {never been to such an event?}.  I can't help but imagine little twinkle lights tucked away in a beautiful garden.  I highly doubt it will be anything like that, but if it were, wouldn't this look be divine for such an event?  I haven't a clue what I'm going to wear...but I can promise you this ensemble is way out of my budget.

click your heels...

I have to say out of the myriad of reasons I love Lonny, I especially adore the scroll over and click ability...

don't you?

  {If there's a product you fancy in the photograph, with one click of your mouse...you're to the source!}

Just another benefit to add to all that eye candy...

Week 7: 5 Tips for a Streamlined Morning

Week 7: 5 Tips for a Streamlined Morning

I don't know about you, but my mornings aren't always this peppy...

That's why mornings need to be as organized as possible for me, but that doesn't mean that they always are. Let's go over a few basic tips that you can do to help mornings move more smoothly.

1. Coffee, Tea, Green Juice..{whatever your pick} get it ready for go time

Having the coffee pot set on an alarm or grinds filled in the filter ready to go, is ideal.  If you're really on top of your game, you can even take out your cup and set it by the machine.  You can do this with breakfast too.  Set out the cereal box next to a bowl and spoon. Every minute counts if you're running late!

2. Pack your lunch the night before

If you're a person who packs a lunch you can save yourself a lot of time doing this the night before.

3. Set out your outfit, including accessories the night before

How many days do you have where you wish you would have done this?  Although daunting, setting your outfit outfit out the night before will do wonders in the morning.

3. Organize the powder room

Keep only the items you use the most in your shower

and cotton swabs, q-tips and brushes within reach

and makeup, perfume and anything else you use organized for easy access

4. List it up the night before

Make a list the night before of anything that needs to be accomplished in your morning.

5. Create a one stop shop at your front door

A spot by your front door to keep keys, mail, the netflix that needs to go out, umbrella...etc. saves time so that you don't go searching if you're running late.

And don't forget to find a small guilty pleasure before you sprint out the door! Whether that be checking your favorite blogs, using a few squirts of your favorite perfume, or throwing on that new accessory you bought yourself.  You deserve it after all that prepping!

a lucky week...

a few weeks ago I won two giveaways in one week! I'm usually not that lucky...so I'm very excited!

I really want to say thank you to...

spark! where I won this sunburst mirror
and Inglenook Decor where I won this alabaster frame
{and to keep it real, my bed is never as crisp as the top photograph!}

thanks again!
