bridal tour recap

If you've been reading for a while, you're aware that when I got engaged I didn't have a wedding binder waiting in a closet for the moment my fiancé popped the question.  In fact, I had no idea what I imagined my wedding looking like.  When you're an avid blogger, you're inundated with ideas from wedding blogs and this creates the desire to plan something that hasn't been done before.  In reality, it's much more difficult to find something that has never been seen before and you're most likely going to take an idea you love and put your own spin on it.

With that said, I'm slowly emerging myself into the wedding world.  Over the weekend I had the opportunity to attend a bridal tour in wine country co-hosted by The Collection and Dream a Little Dream Events.  I thought a more hands-on experience might be a nice change from viewing images online. We started off our day at La Tavola, headed to Fremont Diner for warm biscuits and coffee, made our way to Scribe Winery for a delicious lunch catered by Sage and a flower presentation, a day spa, a culinary school and then ended up at The Collection.  I wasn't sure what to except but was very impressed by how the day turned out.  The tour had perfect timing, delicious snacks, bubbly, lovely people and wonderful vendors.  I can't compare this to any other bridal events, but I do highly recommend this one.  I believe they take place twice a year.  I've compiled a few of my favorite images from the day...

First stop, La Tavola Linen:
love the striped chairs with the nailhead trim, and the beautiful flowers!

how cute are the swag bags that The Collection made?  really loved that they made them the option to wear them crossover.  also, how convenient that they are a C?
and the sparkles, can't get enough of the sparkles..
the way the ground reflects the shimmer makes me smile...

Next stop, the Fremont diner for warm biscuits....
and hot coffee

then, Scribe Winery.  LOVED this place.
Sensory overload here...
the room set up for lunch catered by Sage
wouldn't this place be unreal for a rehearsal dinner?
they make their tables...
the view looking out...with little twinkle lights:
We made our way to a spa and culinary school, but I don't have any pics from there.  I do for our last stop, The Collection:
magazines all stacked up...
we all took home a copy of Handmade Weddings.  amazing book! can't get enough of it.
lots of treats:
adorable cards
a very cute diy project. making your own salt or sugar:
how cute are the little jars?
blurry shot, but I of course love how organized their studio is.  Lots and lots of perfectly stacked boxes with labels:
more organization...all the binders are labeled.
Lastly, a shot with my friend Megan & Emily from Enjoy Events Co. {a new friend to me}.

Thanks again to everyone that made this a great day {and helping me get motivated to start planning}!

  21. I'm similar to you in regards to wedding planning. I'm engaged to get married this July, but I've still never been to a wedding. Even when I was growing up, I didn't spend time fantasizing about a dream wedding.

I've just learned so much as I've gone along and I'm so happy with how everything's coming together!
