still very INTO Fall

Still crazy over here with midterms, but I took a break to browse through the current Martha Stewart Living and found these images. I love what the magazine has done here with color. Typically I've seen a lot of the usual Fall colors {orange, yellow, red} to decorate, entertain, etc. so it's refreshing to see this palette.

A few sewn pumpkins in the mix with some real

Pretty mums, dusty miller, viburnum, globe thistle, cabbage rosettes and kale leaves as a centerpiece

"pearlescent" napkins...I love what they've done with the sweetgum fruits here, just a little spray paint turned these into glam. You can learn how to make these here.

a simple yet rustic wreath

So pretty!

I think this would be a fun and different way to decorate for Thanksgiving if your hosting at your place this year.

Also, if you have the time, take this quiz to find out what type of hostess you are, here.

  5. Gorgeous! My daughter collects those sweetgum fruits whenever she sees them on the ground and calls the "porcupines". I love how they look spray painted. Maybe I will give it a whirl!

  14. I LOVE these colors for fall, I'll have to check out Martha right away. I'm so not into reds & oranges so it's refreshing to see other fall-like colors being shown. What an interesting centerpiece used in the second photo!
