Grab the red wine and candles...

You always want what you can't have. Isn't that the saying? My apartment in Boston does not have a bathtub but my apartment in San Francisco did. BUT, my apartment in Boston has a dishwasher and my apartment in SF did not. If I had to give up my dishwasher for the tub, I'm not sure if I could. I swear I'm not that lazy...but have you ever had a dinner party without a dishwasher?

Some of the images below are beyond stunning and I think if I could have the best of both worlds, maybe one of these could be an option, depending on what style I was going for...

There are fun tubs surrounded by either art, wallpaper or a vibrant paint color:

There are tubs that either bring the outdoors in, or literally are outdoors:

There are the black tubs:

And of course the country-white-romantic tubs:

And lastly, there are the Copper tubs:

Bottom Line: I would LOVE to have a tub again!

So, what is your tub style?

  1. Wow! Those bathtubs are all amazing! Makes me want to go home and rip our disgusting old renter's one out! Hands down, I need the pink one. I just know I'd feel soo girly and fru fru in that; exactly the kind of treatment I need after a long work day!!! Great post!

  4. I am not really a bath person- I like big jacuzzis and hot tubs like on vaca or a cruise...but it wouldn't be a necessity for me. That being said...you wouldn't have to twist my arm to have one of these beautiful ones!

  5. Oh. My. Goodness.
I've been craving a soaking tub since that post on PVE the other day! Now I'm dying!!!! I'd take about 10 of those baths, right now! We haven't yet reno'd our 1940's baths so I'm without a nice tub. GREAT post (except for the making me whine part)!

  6. I really don't take bathes HOWEVER, I totally use ours for our little munchkins who love them, and bathtubs are always so beautiful to have, I love each of these equally, its hard to pick just one out, but I'm really loving the all white ones.

  7. This post really makes me want to rip out our tub/shower enclosure and replace it with one of these beauties. I especially like the black tubs, I love the contrast it creates.

  8. I can't remember the last time I took a bath, but I am sure I would be in the tub every night if I had one half as spectacular as any of those!

  10. I wouldn't be able to give up the dishwasher, either. The pink one was an eye-catcher... although I'd love it in robin's egg or turquoise... and those copper ones are absolutely fabulous.

  13. These are fantastic inspiration photos! It's funny - I love the idea of taking baths but haven't actually taken on in years, despite having a jacuzzi tub in our new house.

  14. uhh, love. I miss my claw foot tub, but here is the down fall with those. My house was kind of cold, so when it was cold and you wanted to take a bath....the tub was also cold, so by the time you filled it up with water, it was lukewarm.

My tub here scares me. I don't know what's gone on in there. I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to sit in it. But I do love baths and LOVE that tree scape wallpaper!!!!!

  15. I adore taking baths and the funny thing is that the entire time I only had a shower I longed for a tub and now that I have one I never use it! I think if it was as lovely as these I would take them constantly.

  16. I could seriously just move into almost any of those pictures.

  17. Oh my gosh, it's been such a long week for me and I am LONGING for one of these right now! Not a huge bath fan normally so I'd probably keep my dishwasher but boy they look relaxing!

  19. Love these! They are amazing! I just need a big soaking tub with room on the sides for scented candles. These are great spaces.
