Today is our 2 year anniversary of engagement. You'd think that means we've had 2 years to plan this wedding and we should be all set...but, that's not the case. If you've followed for a while, you know we moved back from Boston in January 2011, got settled, and then started planning the wedding last year.
Anyway, a few months ago we had the pleasure of meeting our photographer, the sweet Emily from Em the Gem. We got to know one another during an engagement shoot in Russian Hill, all the while enjoying delicious ice-cream from Swensen's (which helps calm everyone down- although this was our second engagement shoot, we were just as nervous as the first).
Since today marks the big anniversary, I thought this would be an appropriate time to share these, so, here are a few of our favs...
Like I said, we started off with Emily treating us to some tasty ice cream at Swensen's. You should all know that I choose mint chip because I thought it would stand out in the photos more. Yep, I'm crazy.
love the creeper in this shot:
Emily had us close our eyes, then meet one another for a kiss. Looks like our noses found each other first. I sorta love this shot. Might be a framer in the Lombard Cottage.
I'm 99% positive he is whispering in my ear, "hairwink?" We pretty much laugh at even the thought of this video. "Can you please repeat the word?"
The guys in the back make the shot! Here we go San Francisco!
this is who we truly are:
Here we are, in front of the Lombard Cottage, all dressed up.
on top of telegraph hill, right up the street from our house:
I couldn't get over the light here. Gorgeous.
Awe, we can be sweet for a minute.
No shoot would be complete without us dancing in the street. See Engagement shoot 1 for proof of that.
thanks again Emily for capturing this special time for us!
Love these Carley! I'm so happy for you two and hope the big day goes well. :)
