Sweet Marianne let me know that The Nest included me in their article {she's mentioned too} "how to organize...everything". Despite a lot going on {including getting sick}, I took a minute to go grab a copy. I haven't had a chance to read all the advice, but at first glance I've seen several helpful ideas. Thank you The Nest!
Don't be fooled by this corner of our new home. I'm sugarcoating it for you. I know nobody wants to see what's really going on behind the camera. My fiance worked very hard to put together a large Ikea PAX unit for our kitchen to store sporting equipment, my large Christmas ornament collection and things I can't get rid of. Although, he has mentioned that maybe I should change the title of the blog to "deliciously hoarding" as I'm having an extremely difficult time getting rid of things. We have one small closet...
This is the beginning for this little corner. At this point, I have to store the large ottoman to our over sized chair there. Also, I have to figure out window treatments...some windows have mini blinds, and some windows have nothing.
Anyway, window treatments are the least of my worries right now! I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far! What's everyone been up to? Any fun home projects going on? I know Stephanie did an awesome striped wall in her entryway. Go check it out. I LOVE it!
exciting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIs that a Jaye's tray I spot on the coffe table? Very cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love your pillows! They look fantastic together!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to hoarding. I love to see the potential in people and things...could be worse...right?
ReplyDeleteAn orchid, a candle, great mags.....looks like a perfect spot to plop down and catch your breath.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better....and big congratulations on The Nest article!!!!

ReplyDeleteI hope the feature in The Nest reminds you and encourages that you have what it takes to get a place organized! It may look a mess now, but it won't forever! Don't forget to laugh along the way! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy organizing!

Congratulations on the mention in the Nest and even if the rest of your house is a mess, that corner looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Nest mention. Every time I've ever moved, I've said, "Ugh, this is the last time." I love the corner you have set up. It gives you an away from the mess of the move corner to sit with a cup of tea and envision your home the way it will be.
ReplyDeleteI've been organizing like mad and so far have organized a few kitchen drawers and have, after hanging some fabric wallpaper, almost finished my front hall closet redo.
Can't wait to see the rest of your new home.
Beautiful, chic little corner!!
ReplyDeleteIt IS difficult to get rid of things but it helps when you have a small place and literally have no room like I do:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful corner!
Cheers to organization in the new year!
Anna
thank you everyone!
ReplyDeleteMece, our sofa and over-sized chair are from Shabby Chic. I believe IKEA sells some just like it.
Preppy Little Dress, I think they are!
One small closet, really? That must be a huge challenge for an organized girl like you. Loving the little corner we are seeing here.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE that green & white chevron tray! Where on earth did you find it?? Mind stopping by and letting me know? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the wall color! What is it?
