the leopard flat.

Some people hate them, some people love them, and I happen to be one of the ones who adores them...I'm talking the leopard flat.  Flats are essential for walking miles a day in the city...if you commute to work, school, etc. by foot, you know what I'm talking about.  And If you're in a rush in the morning, you can always turn a basic black outfit into something more fun with a statement flat. Anyway, I'm just about due to replace my pair.  Maybe a few of you are in the market too, so lets look at some options, high to low.

Question: Do you typically go for the higher quality/more expensive and buy less pairs of shoes?  Or do you buy less expensive versions and purchase more?

  3. I go for low quality and buy more. Which always leads me to peeling soles, unwashable fabrics, and blisters. You would think I would learn my lesson..

Its actually my boyfriend who is telling me to buy more expensive shoes!! He is sick of the cheapy shoes piling up.

  4. i bought one couple years ago at BCBG and LOVE them. it's the comfiest thing ever.

and i usually go for the more expensive shoes.

  5. I love them! I have a pair of leapard j.crew driving moc's as well as a cheap target version. Love them both!

  6. I can not afford the expensive, will be looking for the cheaper ones, but LOVE them!

  7. i am the LOVER of the leopard flats and own the pretty ballerinas! love them, they are so comfortable and look as good now then when I bought them 1 year ago! Go for the gold i say:)

  8. I tend to spend more on boots, because I live in them once the summer weather rolls out. I also invest in a few pairs of black shoes (flats and heels).

To add to the great options above, check these out (and you cant beat the price!):

  9. definitely in the "love these" category!!

  10. Quality not quantity is my motto! Although I'm not above going to TJ and getting a good deal on an expensive pair of shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sometimes I think I should switch to quality over quantity -- but I'm a prisoner of serial target flat purchases.

In fact, I own FIVE pairs of leopard print flats (four are from target). I have a problem people!!

  12. Love the leopard flats! I found a pair of kitten heel leopard flats at Target for $12 bucks on sale!! Got love Target!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I posted about the same! I had a pair of Steve Madden leopard ones that I loved but all of a sudden they are too small. Maybe I will go buy the Target pair and do a review! Or maybe TB should send us both a pair to review??!! :)

  14. I usually don't buy the WAY cheapies, but I might by the next one's up, haha. I'm a little hard on shoes. =/

  15. For heels I like investing, but for trendy shoes I like getting a deal (but I still look for a bit of quality!). For classic flats I like splurging as well!

  16. I always look and want but am never bold enough to buy. I think maybe this year I will. I love target flats but I recently splurged on a pair and my feet can absolutely tell the difference!

  17. So cute- I just cannot believe JCrew's are more expensive than Torys! Kinda ridiculous... lol

    ReplyDelete
  18. I purchased the ones by Tory Burch a few years ago and haven't worn them much but you've make me excited to bring them out of the closet and start wearing them, Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Quality over Quantity. I must have the Tory Burch ones!

  20. I decided to test my desire for expensive things versus what I really like. So I looked through all of them without looking at brand/$ and I liked JCrew's and Target's the best. I'm extreme no matter what. I think I'm gonna get the Target ones!

  21. I have the Jcrew leopard flats from last season and I love them! They go with everything!!! These are definitely a wardrobe staple. I received my pair as a gift, but if I was buying them for myself I would probably buy the pair from Banana. The quality of their shoes is great, and at $98 they aren't breaking the bank! I also love this pair from French sole with pink trim!

  22. I just ordered the bp frankie flat that you posted on Monday, should be here any second. I'll let you know how they go. I figure for $70 I don't feel bad if they only get worked into the rotation here and there this fall.

  23. Nothing is wrong with the tarjay ones :)

  24. wow so many choices! ok with shoes I go for the nicer ones but in this case with the trendy animal prints I would skip the Tory Burch's and go for a cheaper version. I really like the JCREW ones even though they are not super cheap.

  25. i love leopard print shoes! I usually buy more expensive and less often.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The Nordies pair look good, cheap but not the cheapest. I may visit tarjay...thats a cute pair of flats for Fall.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I say if they are comfortable...buy as many as possible...same rule with jeans and white t-shirts...once you find some you love, buy the hell out of them because some day they will wear out and you'll never find the same ones again.

    ReplyDelete
  28. love these and hate that my feet don't look good in flats and ballerina type shoes... have a great weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  29. there is just something to be said about a JCrew flat....worth every penny

    ReplyDelete
  30. I lust after the j.crew ones but I own the Ann Taylor ones. The Ann Taylor ones have not held up as well as I think they should have. Some of the fur rubbed off on the sides where by pants rubbed against them. Other than that they are really comfortable. I just found some French Sole Zebra Print flats and they are really comfortable.

  31. Love them. I do both, some of my favorites are the cheepies.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I tend to invest on items I know I am going to wear more than 3 times. I love the tarjay ones....need to pick those up this weekend! These shoes I would go for the cheapies because I know I will not get enough use out of them to warrant the higher end ones.

Have a great weekend! And thanks for enabling! LOL

  33. Thank you! These are on my fall purchase list. I love to go to DSW and pick up a medium quality pair for cheap and usually they last as long as I need them to (or longer).

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have the Target ones and love them--- only thing is--- they have no support. But if your feet don't need much- they are great!

  35. I have a pair of Kate spade leopard flats and I love them!!

  36. I have zebra flats instead of leopard and I love them; I also have zebra bag and recently bought a zebra scarf as well... but I try to use only two of these accessories a the same time, so I don't look like a crazy zebra hunter.

In general I try to find the best quality for the best price. I buy many shoesn and bags on sales, so I can afford long lasting quality shoes instead of buying very cheap shoes or bags I will use only for a short while.

  38. I love anything leopard print and that includes ballet flats. I wear mine all the time in the fall/winter...they add chicness to an otherwise simple ensemble. Like this post!

  39. LOVE leopard flats. Great post.

  40. I adore leopard....flat, boot, heel. I have them all. However, I've learned that for me....I'm a heels girl. So, I gave my TB leopard flats to the cute teenage girl across the street. It was time to get them out of my closet....so sad and lonely just sitting there, wanting to be on the prowl! :)

  41. I LOVE them. I like the ones you always wear.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Less expensive AND fewer shoes when it comes to cute/trendy/not great for my feet. But, when it comes to good support, I spend the big bucks and sacrifice a little on style. Though I will say I get lots of compliments on my leopard print Sanita clogs, so they must not be too dorky! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh yes, put me in the love pile!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Can go both ways. But comfort plays a big roll in my choice.

  45. Leopard is THE print this fall. Such a great way to dress up the wardrobe. Thanks for finding all of these!

  46. Cute photo! I love the Tory Burch and Banana Republic pairs. I'm so hard on my shoes so I'm trying to spend less on each pair but those Reva flats get me every time!

    ReplyDelete
  47. love! i bought a pair of cheapos from Target a couple years ago and rarely wore them until this year! i'm also eyeing a new pair for the fall, but a better quality for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wish I could wear pumps - sigh - I just have the most bony feet and can never find pretty flats at all comfy. I end up with uggs!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I adore leopard print stuff! I have a cute jacket from Marc Jacob and some great pumps and clutch from Stewart Weitzman... Now I have just added the Tory Burch flats to my list! {Adam's going to love that! LOL} Great post!

  50. I LOVE leopard flats! I have the last pair but with a peekaboo open toe.
